Welcome to Gundam Watch!

The staff of Gundam Watch would like to welcome all of you to the community. Some of you have been around for the many other versions of Gundam Watch and some of you are visiting us for the first time. We hope that you enjoy your stay with us.

Priss and GrayBear provide this site as a service to English speaking Gundam fans everywhere. You will note that there are no commercials, no pop-ups, no interferences on the site. This is possible out of the generosity of Priss and GrayBear. They provide this site at their own expense for all Gundam fans of goodwill to enjoy.

We strive to maintain a community where you can have civil, meaningful discussions about all things Gundam. A place where you can connect with fellow fans and learn more about Gundam and what is happening with it.

We have also provided a place where you can share your creative endeavors in art and writing, be they Gundam creations (Gundam Graphics and Gundam Fan Fiction forums) or not (Open Graphics and Open Fan Fiction forums). Our modeling forum is for Gundam models only, but it is also an invaluable resource for information and tips about on working on models in general. There are forums for the discussion and sharing of information about Gundam toys, games, publications and DVD’s. Our Gundam Engineering forum is for the discussion of all things technical within the Gundam universes, while generalized discussions of Gundam are conducted in the Gundam Discussion forum. Remember, ‘It’s All Gundam and It’s All Good’.

We have also provided a place for discussion of topics not related to Gundam but news worthy in the world of science or simply of interest to the members in the Open Discussion forum. We respectfully request that there be no political and no religious postings made. We are a diverse grouping of personages from all around the world and therefore we do not represent any one political or religious faction. To keep tension, disagreements and disputes to a minimum, our policy is no religion and no politics on the boards.

To help make your stay a pleasant one, please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the board policies found here and the pinned policy notices of additional policy pertaining to specific forums within those forums. Also, be sure to check the new posts in the Announcements as this is where we will make announcements pertaining to changes, notes of interest to the members and contests.

Thank you joining Gundam Watch and helping to make it a civil place for all of us to enjoy.

Gundam Watch Hacked, New Forums Result!

posted in: News | 0

On Monday, November 7, 2005 at approximately 6:30 p.m. the Gundam Watch forums were hacked by parties that have been identified. Currently our web host is seeking redress through the legal system.

Because of this event, the message board was down until 1:00 a.m. November 8, 2005.

The damage has since been repaired with no loss of data. However, the version of Invision being used is not fully secure and open to exploitation on the part of trusted members.

Accordingly, Gundam Watch is in transition to a newer and hopefully more secure message board system. We hope to bring about this move with the least amount of data loss and intend to keep these forums in an archive state when the project is complete.

Personally, I抦 very sorry for the inconvenience to the members. Sadly, it appears that some individuals take their perceived dominance of Gundam fandom far too seriously. Please accept my apologies for the downtime, and be assured a solution to this particular problem is being worked on.

The new forums are up and active with all threads and membership information intact!
